Privacy Policy

We only collect what we need to teach, support and communicate with you:

• Account details — name, email address, mobile number, password (stored encrypted) or Google sign-in, and an optional profile photo.
• Enquiries — name, email, mobile number and the stream you are interested in when you request a free consultation. We verify your email with a one-time code.
• Learning records — courses you enrol in, study materials you purchase, attendance for classroom courses and any absence reasons you submit.
• Parent details — a parent's email address, if provided at enrolment, so the parent can follow attendance and progress.
• Teleconsultations — session topic, preferred time, notes, booking status and any review you leave for a tutor.
• Tutor applications — qualifications, experience, demo video links, photo and documents submitted by people applying to teach.
• Form responses — answers you submit through forms on our website.
• Payment records — order and transaction references and amounts. Card, UPI and bank details are entered directly with our payment partner and are never stored by us.
• Usage data — pages visited and device and browser information collected through analytics, described below.

• To create and manage your account and give you access to courses and study materials.
• To process payments and send enrolment, purchase and booking confirmations.
• To record attendance and share it with the student and their linked parent.
• To arrange teleconsultation sessions and share meeting links with students and tutors.
• To respond to enquiries and call you back about the consultation you requested.
• To send in-app notifications and service emails about your account and activity.
• To keep the website secure, prevent spam and misuse, and improve our services.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only where needed to run our services:

• Within Candid — our teachers and administrators see the student records they need to teach and support you.
• Parents — a parent linked at enrolment can view the student's attendance.
• Tutors — when you book a teleconsultation, the tutor sees your name, contact details, topic and preferred time.
• Service providers — Razorpay (payments), Zoom (online sessions), Amazon Web Services (file and photo storage), Google (sign-in, email delivery, analytics and reCAPTCHA spam protection). They process data on our behalf under their own privacy terms.
• Legal reasons — when required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our students, staff or the public.

We keep you signed in by storing a session token in your browser's local storage. We use Google Analytics to understand how the website is used, and Google reCAPTCHA on some forms to block spam; both may set their own cookies. You can clear stored data or block cookies in your browser settings, though some features (such as staying signed in) may stop working.

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services, keep academic and payment records, and meet legal obligations. Passwords are stored encrypted, connections to our services are protected, and access to student records is limited to staff who need it. No system is completely secure, so please keep your password private and tell us straight away if you suspect misuse.

Many of our students are minors. We expect a parent or guardian to be aware of and consent to a minor's enrolment, and we encourage parents to link their email at enrolment so they can follow attendance.

• You can view and update your profile photo and password from your dashboard settings.
• You can ask us to correct or delete your personal information, or for a copy of it.
• You can ask us to stop contacting you about consultations or offers.
• To make a request, email candidinstitute@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity and may retain records we are legally required to keep.

We may update this policy as our services change. The "Last updated" date above shows when it was last revised; significant changes will be highlighted on the website or by email.
